Turn Signals are Still Standard Equipment!

Hey idiot, I was right, your car did come with turn signals as part of its standard equipment. I'm guessing though that you haven't noticed that lever because you were tweeting me or just to plain stupid to notice it. So just for you I posted a large photo of where the turn signal is located on most vehicles. Take a look in your car, I bet you can find it.

Did you know by law that a signal of intention to turn right or left when required shall be given continuously during and not less than the last one hundred feet traveled by the vehicle before turning. Don't turn it on as you are making the turn, it's way to late by then.

What really amazes me is that wikihow.com actually has a how to guide posted on how to use your turn signals. I guess this is for those of you that missed that section in drivers ed class. See Article Here: http://www.wikihow.com/Use-Your-Turn-Signal

Here are a few brief excerpts from the article that I think you should pay attention to:

Part of safe driving is letting the other drivers around you predict what you will do. Using your turn signals is not difficult, and it's generally required by law whenever you make a turn or change lanes.

1.Locate the lever on the left side of the steering column.

2. To signal a left turn, push the lever down

3. To signal a right turn, push the lever up

4. Once you have moved the lever up or down, an arrow light will begin blinking on the dashboard.

5. The signal will automatically turn off after you have made the turn, in most cases, but you must turn the wheel past a certain point.

Remember that it's as easy as flipping a lever to be courteous to other drivers, so use a signal every time! Flip a lever or be flipped off!
